Access control

Access Control forms the backbone and core component of Pelco's integrated security system. It shows who has been on the company premises, and when and where this has occurred. It effectively protects the company, its customers, and employees’ property.
 

Access Control prevents movement in prohibited areas and it rapidly reveals access-rights misuses. Missing keys and lock replacements are no longer a problem, as doors can only be opened with individually coded identifiers.
  

+ Burglar alarm

When a burglar alarm is added to the access control system, doors will open only after the burglar alarm has been properly bypassed with an access control monitor and identifier. The bypass launches a personal timer.
 

When exiting the room, the bypass is taken off. If this is not done, the burglar alarm is automatically switched on when the time in the timer runs off.
 

Combining access control and burglar alarm minimizes the number of false alarms caused by users—especially when several people go into one room without the knowledge of each other.  
 

+ Fire detection

Fire detection can be added to the integrated security system, which shows the affected place with a graphic user interface and, if necessary, opens the emergency exits. Thus, customers and employees may exit safely, and firemen can go directly to the location of the fire.

+ Video monitoring

Video monitoring shows pictures of what is going on in the building at any given time. An alarm from the access control, burglar alarm, or fire alarm activates the video camera, which starts filming the chosen spot. The events are transferred to a video exchange and a recording instrument, which helps to discover the cause of the alarm afterwards.
 

+ Graphic user interface

The graphic user interface shows a real-time status of detectors and doors in a floor plan. All areas important to safety can be controlled from the same workstation. Monitoring points can also be decentralized for use remotely via a telephone network. Thus, guarding and surveillance services can be concentrated to, for example, night-time
